Suffolk Coast

An area of outstanding natural beauty, famed for its food and produce and teeming with wildlife, the Suffolk Coast is a natural place for Wild Days Conservation holidays. The 155 square miles of tranquil and unspoilt landscape includes wildlife-rich estuaries, ancient heaths, windswept shingle beaches and historic towns and villages. Home to some of the UK’s finest food producers and restaurants, our holidays here are blessed with a broad range of quality local produce.

We work with staff at the RSPB’s Minsmere reserve and Havergate island, as well as National Trust experts on Orford Ness and the coast and heaths of Dunwich. All share their wealth of knowledge with us as we work to support these precious habitats.

Look out for more conservation holidays in the area! Our breaks are part of Volunteer Tourism, which includes Suffolk Coast Greeters providing a friendly welcome to visitors in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and other Volunteering for Visitors information. For more information about these projects, funded by the Coastal Communities Fund and managed by Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), see www.suffolkcoastandheaths.org  or call Cathy Smith on 01394 445225, email Catherine.smith@suffolk.gov.uk
