Conservation Partnerships: Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (ARC)
Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (ARC) was established in June 2009, making its debut at the Hampton Court Flower Show with its Bronze Medal winning ‘Dragon’s Garden’.
Although relatively new in this guise, ARC's roots lie in the Herpetological Conservation Trust (HCT) founded in 1969. ARC was created around the core of the HCT, in response to the wider needs of herpetofauna conservation, providing the UK focus for all aspects of reptile and amphibian conservation.
ARC carries out both research and reserve management and Wild Days Conservation work with them on both these activities, on their own reserves in Dorset and through survey activities on our projects UK-wide.
