British wildlife holidays with a difference

Wild Days provide wonderful, friendly and fun nature conservation holidays UK. Our holidays are for people who want hands-on experience of wildlife conservation and research. You could be out in the countryside surveying voles, shrews and other small mammals. Or you could be making new habitats for butterflies and orchids. Perhaps you’ll be investigating wildlife after dark.

Lovely places to stay

Our British wildlife holidays offer great food and lovely places to stay. We choose comfortable, characterful places off the beaten track that bring you close to nature while providing all modern conveniences. There’s nothing ‘hair-shirt’ about Wild Days! On most of our holidays you can have a room to yourself so there are no worries about sharing. Even better, we don’t usually charge single supplements. You’ll be active all day and we know you’ll love our delicious meals. We use fresh, locally sourced ingredients to keep you well fuelled. We can cater most dietary preferences, including vegetarian and gluten free.

Learning by doing

On a Wild Days nature holiday you'll be working alongside like-minded people. They share your interest in wildlife conservation. Like you, they are curious to know more. Experts and first-timers alike enjoy our trips because there is so much to learn and do at all levels. Daytimes are spent outdoors getting hands grubby and boots muddy, while evenings spark interesting discussions. Conversations often begin over pre-dinner drinks, continue through dinner go on into the rest of the evening!

Conservation holidays UK

Our nature holidays are about learning and working with a range of people. Everything you need to know is taught while on site. Tasks might include spotting a particular plant species or putting up a camera trap to capture photos of animals. You will learn from each other, while enjoying time outdoors. We aim to inspire everyone, whatever the activity. Our guests find it very rewarding to make such an active contribution to nature conservation.
